“THE FUTURE”

One of the biggest challenges of a family owned business is legacy. “What does the future hold?” So many excellent small family companies I grew up with didn’t have a “Next Generation” to take over. Most of them were bought by a multi-state, multi-line large organization. Their expertise, personal touch, and experience in the industry was lost and replaced by automated portals, voicemails, and sales support clerks lacking technical knowledge of the actual products and manufacturing process required. This is a sad story I have seen lived out too many times.

In 1969, I started to work for my father, Fred L. Thuemling. It was Fred, Mom, and myself in the basement of his house. Over the years, with a lot of determination, good product lines, and “by the grace of God,” we have endured and grown to our current status as a leading OEM instrumentation distributor in the industry.

Over these years (we have finally moved out of the basement), many great employees and family members joined the company and learned “The Business” from Fred, our founder, and myself, his pupil. Of our team of 9 people (ages range from 24 to 58), many have been with us for over 20 years – maturity, youth, and experience.

As we go forward, we are so pleased to do so with the most experienced and still youthful group to be here for you well into the future. Fred would be pleased! I am so thankful that our family company will be here for our customers and their ongoing future requirements. It has been “The American Dream,” and we are all committed to seeing our legacy into the future.
